beetroot sumac relish

A Gold Medal Winner at the 2009  Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Produce Show.

Sumac is a tangy flavoured spice ground from the dried berries of a shrub that grows wild in the Middle East and the Mediterranean. This spice mixed with beetroot, currents, brown sugar and balsamic vinegar is culinary magic.
